This is a global commodity trading house trades and produces oil, coal, natural gas, and renewables, using its global infrastructure to influence market prices. Due to internal mobility, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Oil Operations Executive to join a high-performing trading desk.

Role
Reporting to the Head of Operation, the Operations executive will oversee trading desk operations, ensuring the smooth execution and co-ordination of the physical oil trades. The Operations Executive plays a vital role in coordinating all aspects of physical trading books, ensuring that trades are implemented in the most cost effective and seamless manner. In addition, the Operations Executive will assess operational and business risks, proactively identifying and mitigating potential obstacles that could impact the company's success. He/ She will also be regularly reporting on the operational metrics, providing invaluable insights to the Commercial organisation. The Operations Executive will also be key to the enhancement of the trading strategies and optimise delivery and supply dynamics.

Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have a degree in a finance or engineering discipline, with 3-5 years' experience in oil vessel cargo operations, ideally within an international trading company or major. You will also be described as meticulous and entrepreneurial, with the ability to problem-solve independently.
