Accept ClosePress Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkSearch JobsJob DescriptionApply nowJob Title: HR Business Partner (Assistant Manager / Manager), E3/E3A/TLAB ClusterPosting Start Date: 20/02/2025Job Description:Job DescriptionWe are looking for a HR Business Partner to join the HR team supporting the E3/E3A/TLab Cluster of research institutes in the National University of Singapore, which currently comprises - Centre for Hydrogen Innovations (CHI), Mechanobiology Institute (MBI), NUS Environmental Research Institute (NERI), Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), Singapore Nuclear Research and Safety Initiative (SNRSI), and Temasek Laboratories. Be part of the team that partners the vibrant NUS research community as they push the boundaries of fundamental research and encourage the translation of findings into real-world solutions.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Partner and support the research institutes' heads/managers to manage, in a proactive and consultative approach, a full spectrum of HR functions which includes talent acquisition and appointment matters, performance appraisal and management, as well as talent management and development
  • Responsible for effective onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Assist in implementation of new policies and benefit programmes, and ensure changes to HR policies and procedures are administered and communicated timely to staff
  • Contact point for employee relations issues - assess the situation and provide advice to business units
  • Multi-task and be on top of daily operational tasks to ensure smooth delivery of services
  • Make decisions within areas of responsibilities
  • Brainstorm ideas for process improvement and translate them into plans and actions
  • Assist in process review projects and participate in other projects as assigned
Job Requirements
  • At least 4 to 5 years' experience as a HR Business Partner
  • University degree, preferably with additional specialist qualification in Human Resource Management
  • Possess good command of written and spoken English
  • Demonstrable business and HR acumen, and ability to drive HR solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels and good service orientation
  • Able to multi-task well with clear follow-through
  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools, with strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Resourceful and self-driven with a high degree of professional integrity
  • Meticulous and demonstrable experience with HR metrics
  • Good knowledge of labour legislations and HR best practices
  • A team-player and keen learner with a positive attitude and “can-do” mindset
