What the role is:The person will lead a strategic unit and oversee the following areas of work:1. Sector Manpower Planning & Research
2. Asatizah / Sector Data Management
3. Talent Development
4. Unit AdministrationWhat you will be working on:Sector Manpower Planning & Research
  • Drive manpower planning efforts including the design and implementation of asatizah manpower planning studies and recommendations
  • Identify growth areas and work with prospective employers to pilot new roles for asatizah
Asatizah / Sector Data Management
  • Oversee management of asatizah/sector data to support policy making and operations including the Asatizah Recognition Scheme (ARS), the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and the Postgraduate Certificate in Islam in Contemporary Societies (PCICS)
  • Develop and enhance systems to facilitate data collection, analysis and reporting of asatizah/sector outcomes
Talent Development
  • Supervise the development and implementation of asatizah talent development programmes (such as the development, implementation and maintenance of Individual Development Plans for talents, leadership scheme and talent postings, and the management and review of talent list) including the Syed Isa Semait Scholarship
  • Lead secretariat for Talent Development panels
Unit Administration
  • Oversee funding and resource needs of the strategic unit
  • Develop staff and continually improve unit processes
What we are looking for:Requirements
  • Tertiary education in any discipline, preferably in HR or Training and Development
  • At least 3 years experience in heading a department
  • Strong background in managing talent development programmes
  • 3-5 years experience in designing data collection tools and analysis, conducting qualitative and quantitative research
  • Strong interest in Asatizah Development, Adult Learning, and developments in Socio-Religious sector
  • Strong project management skills
  • Dynamic Team Leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
