- The Senior Manager is responsible for assisting the Team Lead in managing and leading the team to deliver key events organized by the Student Organisations Pillar and/or in OSE.
- Ensure that Student Organisations Management Guidelines are regularly reviewed and updated to remain current and meet the evolving needs of student groups.
- Manage 10 to 15 student groups.
- Mentor and develop student leaders of the clubs and committees under Student Organisations through coaching and advising in areas of team management, event/project management, time management and monitoring overall wellbeing of student leaders throughout their service term.
- Review and evaluate clubs and committees' workplan, proposals, budget, administrative and logistic matters.
- Review, develop and coordinate existing and new programmes/events and processes, ensuring optimal student engagement, experience, and learning.
- Support administration of all student-organised events, including event proposal preparation and approval, procurement, event setup coordination, ensuring adherence to relevant internal policies, guidelines and budget limits.
- Work closely with academic staff to improve students' learning experience and support their participation in outside curriculum activities for more holistic development.
- Engage relevant Divisions e.g., Finance, Estates to support event management and various student development projects.
- Plan and execute major events such as SITizens Awards Night, HOD engagement sessions, New Leaders' Briefing to support student development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and guidelines during Division and student activities, events and programmes.
- Degree from a good University with at least 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar position in an educational/ community/ leadership/ corporate environment.
- Experience in managing a small team of 5 to 6 staff is preferred.
- Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to connect with and bridge students with staff.
- Creative thinking, adaptability and the ability to problem-solve with strong conflict management skills.
- Good planning and organisation skills, with an eye for detail.
- Passionate, positive attitude, multitasking, and able to work independently within tight timelines.
- Committed team player, responsible, reliable, and able to work with others to achieve the division's mission.
- Ability and willingness to work outside of office hours and on weekends.
