The selected candidate will lead and grow the supply chain finance(“SCF”) business of the Bank by developing and maintaining relationships with corporate customers, growing the business in terms of asset size, taking P&L responsibility for the business and ensuring high credit quality of the supply chain finance portfolio both in the region and on a global basis.Responsible for spearheading marketing efforts and initiating commercial activities related to third party SCF/ receivables platforms, increase the intra-Asia trade flow and extend our global SCF capabilities into Asia, with the ultimate goals of increasing revenues, enhancing profitability, and maximizing the volume of Trade Finance in the region and on global basis.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish a solid portfolio of both corporate and financial institution accounts in the SCF business segment in Asia, with a close collaboration with third party platforms.Working closely with client relationship team on global basis, to the provide professional SCF or trade finance solutions.Develop the portfolio by prospecting new clients and offering suitable supply chain financing services to existing customers; Achieve various individual business targets and contribute to the team performanceFoster an effective partnership with other team members to provide excellent team support to our clients’ requirements in AsiaConduct due diligence and monitor potential transactionsPrepare credit proposals for approval by the Credit teamConduct regular portfolio review and take proactive measures to ensure credit qualityProvide guidance, coaching and support for teammates where requiredUpdate the team and Management on any changes on the local market especially on the SCF area.Qualification & ExperienceA university degree in business, finance or related fieldAt least 10 years solid experience in SCF transactions with a financial institution with strong background on trade finance banking productsGood knowledge of products and trends in SCF products and general corporate banking products and servicesFamiliarity with general banking operations and related legal and regulatory requirementsPrevious exposure to preparation of credit proposalsStrong connection in the local banking industry and leading core buyers in AsiaProven business origination and structuring capabilities, with insurance covered transaction structure is an advantageHighly results drivenWith trade finance experience in other Asian countries is an advantageA team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, good negotiation skills, ability to close deals and able to work under pressureAble to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional and cross-cultural environmentExcellent communications skills with fluency in English and Mandarin, ability to speak Spanish would be advantageous but not requiredKnowledge in ESG/green product structuring is a plusEducationBachelor's degree or above; Master’s degree is preferredLanguageFluent in English and ChineseOther Skills (e.g. Interpersonal, Communication etc)Customer-orientedAble to work in a multi-functional and cross-cultural environmentPro-active, self-motivated, fast learnerAble to work independently with minimum supervisionA team player able to work in a fast-paced environmentHigh integritySkills:Customer-Oriented
