Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Regional Finance Manager, we are seeking a Payroll Lead to manage end-to-end payroll operations ensuring compliance, process efficiency, and regional payroll oversight. This permanent role is based in either Singapore/ Malaysia office.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Oversee End-to-End payroll team
- Develop the SOP for Payroll as a training guide for HR and Payroll team, and provide training development, and contracting payroll process with relevant teams,
- Manage the full spectrum of monthly payroll computation and processing for 1200 contract employees, ensure all payroll payments are in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare monthly payroll report reconciliation
- Monitor and maintain records for employee related government grants
- Process monthly CPF contributions, government related mandatory contributions
- Support internal audits, regulatory compliance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
- Submit tax clearance for foreign employees and manage mandatory claims to statutory authorities (e.g., maternity, paternity, childcare leave, NSmen reservist, IR8A submission)
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Skills and Experience Required:
- A candidate should preferably possess a degree or Diploma in Human Resources
- Possess at least 5 years of Payroll experience particularly in handling contractors' payroll with lead role
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Good written and oral communication skills
- High sense of P&C awareness
- Proficiency in Excel & Google Sheet formula
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet timelines
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail; high integrity in handling confidential information.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative; willing to engage with frontline staff and work beyond regular hours when needed
- Knowledge of Malaysian Labour Laws is a plus.
- Experience in handling overseas payroll experience is an added advantage (for Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam).
- Experience in handling high volume of payroll for multiple entities with more than 600 headcount.
- Good payroll knowledge and well-versed in the Employment Act and HR practices.
