Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management
- Set and propose annual sales targets for approval, ensuring these targets are met.
- Plan and execute all Bakery-related marketing activities.
- Develop and review annual sales plans, activities, and campaigns, adjusting as needed to meet targets.
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and budgets.
- Monitor market trends, sales volume, and revenue to identify opportunities and gaps.
- Adapt strategies and reallocate resources to improve overall sales team performance.
- Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, pricing, and distribution strategies.
- Analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback, providing actionable reports to senior management.
Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, responding to their needs with tailored sales strategies.
- Identify customer opportunities, adapting tactics to maintain existing accounts and attract new ones.
- Negotiate effectively with key accounts, ensuring satisfaction and maximizing sales potential.
- Actively seek new sales opportunities, expanding our customer base and market reach.
Sales Team Leadership
- Review and implement customer service guidelines for the sales team.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the sales team on technical aspects of bakery products, marketing campaigns, and sales strategies.
Collaboration with Production Team
- Work closely with the production team to develop new product offerings based on market needs.
- Coordinate with production to address and resolve customer feedback related to product quality.
Other Duties
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Deputy General Manager, Bakery.
Ideal Candidate:
Education:
- A good tertiary education, with a preference for a degree in Hospitality, Business, or Marketing.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in the Bakery or Hospitality industry.
- At least 3 years of experience in supervising and managing a sales team.
Skills:
- Excellent Communication & Negotiation Skills: Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships at all levels of staff and with customers.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong experience in account management, with a focus on meeting customer needs and expectations.
- Sales Tactics Development: A demonstrated ability to be resourceful and creative in formulating and executing effective sales strategies.
- Supervisory Skills: Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a sales team while working independently.
- Digital Savvy: A keen understanding of digital marketing trends and the ability to leverage social media and other digital avenues to enhance sales and brand presence.
