What the role is:We are looking for a talented social media video and graphics specialist to build HTX's social media presence and engage HTX's community and friends. This person will report to Head, Digital and Social Media to plan and produce engaging digital experiences through storytelling, with a focus on YouTube and TikTok. This role will also help us plan, build and evolve HTX's communication technology tools to create communication strategies, streamline workflows, as well as integrate video into broader marketing campaigns to support our branding, engagement, and outreach efforts.What you will be working on:-Develop and execute a comprehensive video strategy to enhance HTX's social media presence on platforms with a focus on YouTube and TikTok, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant. -Create, produce, and manage high-quality video content (short-form and long-form), including conceptualising, scripting, shooting, editing, and optimizing for specific platforms. -Design and implement motion graphics and UX elements to create engaging and interactive digital experiences across all channels. -Research and evaluate the latest trends, techniques, and technologies, particularly in video production, UX design, and motion graphics, to better engage target audiences. -Collaborate with the Digital and Social Media team to create innovative and shareable multimedia content (video, animations, interactive graphics) to drive traffic and audience engagement. -Partner with the Brand & Marketing team to integrate video and motion design into brand and marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency in tone and visual style. -Leverage communication technology tools and platforms to streamline content creation, campaign management, and analytics. -Uphold HTX's brand image and maintain consistency across all digital and social media platforms.What we are looking for:-Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution in digital marketing, communications, multimedia design, or a related field. -Proven experience with video pre and post-production, including scripting, filming, and editing. -Proficiency in motion graphics design using tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent software. -Knowledge of UX design principles, and experience creating user-friendly, interactive digital experiences. -Strong command of social media platforms, their best practices, and trends in video content. -Excellent communication and people skills. -Working experience in content creation and marketing. -Agile and creative thinker with a keen eye for visual design. -Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, and other relevant tools such as CapCut. -3D animation skills are a bonus. -Passionate about storytelling and visual content creation, especially video and motion graphics. -Resourceful, self-motivated, and adaptable to evolving digital trends. -Creative thinker with a strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail. -Strong passion for storytelling in a wide range of content types. -Team-oriented, enjoys collaboration and experimenting in a dynamic environment. -Comfortable collaborating with newsmakers for content ideas, as well as sourcing for story and content leads. -Fun-loving, positive learning attitude and enthusiasm for using technology to improve processes and outcomes. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
