  • MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific * In addition to the duties of the Radiographer(AH12), he/she will have increased involvement in the more specialised and complicated investigations. He/she will assist in managing the routine affairs of the Department.
  • Responsible for Quality Control programmes and maintenance of Radiographic equipment and accessories in various sections.
  • Supervises and deploys staff appropriately to various sections for operations, education and training needs.
  • Problem-solving within Department of Diagnostic Radiology with regards to radiographic issues.
  • Assists in handling patients' queries and feedback on Radiological services rendered by the Department.
  • Coordinates with relevant healthcare colleagues on scheduling of patients and expediting reports for urgent Radiological examinations.
  • Assists or lead in on-going work improvement projects within the Department.
  • Assists in internal and/or external audits.
General * Provides support to junior radiographer(s) and supervisee(s).
  • Presents at either internal and external continual education development activities or events.
  • Contributes actively with new initiatives to improve radiographic standards and delivery of radiological services.
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor(s).
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training / Experience * Recognised Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
  • Competent in diagnostic radiography and conversant in radiographic processing, quality control, and troubleshooting of Radiographic equipment.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years' experience in diagnostic radiology in acute hospital setting.
  • Clinically competent in advanced modalities with evidence of existing On- job-training
  • Additional experience and/or qualifications in management/clinical supervision and education/research/informatics are an advantage
  • Radiation Licences under Radiation Protection Act (Chapter 262)
  • Allied Health Professional Council Practising Certificate
