- Support SMU Faculty, Admin and Research staff in the onboarding and offboarding and transfer/renewal matters.
- Work with TA to prepare start work arrangement, background screening, health screening and staff pass printing.
- Assist foreign faculty with their relocation, accommodation, and airport transfer booking as well as relocation queries.
- Handle work pass and related pass application, issuance, renewal, and cancellation.
- Maintenance of Personal File and ensure all documents are filed and updated.
- Manage transfer of faculty/admin and research staff (including temp and contract) to ensure benefits and records are updated.
- Answer to employee queries and manage residency conversion cases.
- Manage off-boarding, renewal and transfer cases and work with payroll to ensure taxes are cleared.
- Data entry for employee movements for permanent staff and faculty.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in HR.
- Prior work experience as a HR generalist managing full life cycle of staff such as onboarding, offboarding, transfer, would be advantageous.
- Strong critical thinking skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate well with internal and external stakeholders and able to handle confidential information with high integrity and discretion.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office apps.
