Sustainability Analyst (Circularity)
Job Role:
· Work with client account managers to plan and execute client projects.
· Define the data required and map out data collection strategy (including waste audits or waste management data) from both suppliers and internal operations and build process for consistent and reliable data collection.
· Analyze data on resource use, waste generation, and recycling rates.
· Ensure compliance with local waste and packaging reporting regulations in client’s country.
· Use LCAs and material flow analysis to identify opportunities for reducing waste and improving resource efficiency.
· Develop and implement strategies to transition from a linear to a circular economy model, which may include: Solutions for waste reduction, Material substitution, Product life extension and End-of-life management
· Develop EPR policies and guidelines using ISO 14001 framework.
· Create education and training materials for internal and external stakeholders on circular economy principles and practices.
- Facilitate and support circularity projects planning and documentation.
- Stay informed about circularity and sustainability standards and protocols, local regulations and regulations in client’s country.
You should be/have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, data analytics, finance, accounting or any sustainability field
· At least 3 years of work experience in a data analytics or data reporting role and very proficient in Excel
- Prior work experience should include circularity projects or a sustainability related role, with a strong foundation in waste management.
- Prior hands-on experience with waste audits and recycling is a bonus
- Recognized certification in any sustainability field such as ISO 14001, LCA, or a related field strongly recommended
· Be detail oriented and willing to make sense of unstructured data. You understand how numbers from an excel sheet translate to real world transactions and operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a relentless focus on client success
- Working knowledge of productivity and documentation tools such as Office, PowerPoint, Canva and Adobe
- A strong verbal and written communicator who can communicate with various stakeholders and adapt to various communication styles
- Adept at remote working, virtual collaboration and able to work within client’s business hours
