[What the role is]

[LTA-FIN] ASSISTANT MANAGER, 2 FINANCIAL PLANNING

[What you will be working on]

  • Prepare monthly fund requests and related operations while conducting checks to ensure compliance with relevant Government budgeting rules. Maintain and review the automation scripts used for the monthly fund request process.
  • Plan and run the annual development budget utilisation exercise and propose strategies to achieve the Authority’s budget utilisation targets.
  • Work closely with the rest of the Development Budget team, especially during the year-end and annual budget exercise periods, to ensure alignment of budgeting and fund request processes and strategies.
  • Support the team to operationalise new functions and business areas, where these initiatives require new / updated processes related to fund requests.
  • Contribute to discussions with external stakeholders e.g. Auditors, other Government Agencies, Ministries.
  • Assist the team to run clinics to train LTA officers and design Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) to transmit key budget related initiatives or updates to LTA stakeholders for awareness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by streamlining / optimising existing business processes (ad-hoc).

[What we are looking for]

  • Knowledge in Accountancy/Business Administration/Finance or equivalent professional qualifications. Those without working experience are welcome to apply.
  • Meticulous and proficient in minimally Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP. Experience with automation (including Python, Excel Macros), data analytics / data visualisation is welcome.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of risk assessment and internal controls.
  • Dynamic team player with good interpersonal skills, who can interact across different stakeholder groups in a fast-paced environment.
