
Receptionist Discipline Assistant (Hougang)
Disicpline Support Staff Responsibilities:
- Assist DMs and OMs in management of students who are late for the day.
- Communicate with parents of students who are late for school.
- Update daily attendance, updating of latecoming data and other administrative data.
- Manage students who are sent to Student Responsibility Space (SRS).
- Preparation of materials and resources for the daily discipline operations.
- Performs duties as Discipline Duty Officer
- Manage the discipline Helpline.
- Collate data as instructed by DMs, OMs, AM and discipline teachers.
- Conduct search duty, escorting and monitoring students who are caught for serious offences, such as possession of contrabands etc.
Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and assist visitors, providing a positive first impression.
- 2. Answer and direct incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy.
- Manage and organize the reception area, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Handle inquiries from students, parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
Combined Responsibilities:
- Efficiently switch between receptionist and Disicipline duties as required.
- 2. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance in both roles.
- Provide support to other administrative functions when necessary.
Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while handling diverse responsibilities.
Requirement:
- Minimum qualification of GCE O Level or equivalent.
- Preferably be able to work with students of varying backgrounds and with disciplinary issues.
- Preferably have at least 3 years of experience working in a secondary school environment.
- Prior experience in working with special needs and/or at-risk students.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for managing data.
- Knowledge of data entry and basic database management for student records.
- Proficient in tracking student records and keep materials organized.
Duration / Working hours:
2 years contract ( 1 April 2025 to 31 Mar 2027)
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:15pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break
- Fridays: 7:00am to 3:45pm, inclusive of 45 min lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
