Overview
The Clinical Psychologist is required to provide an array psychological services (psychometric assessments and psychological therapies) to inpatients and outpatients within the Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children's Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI). The Clinical Psychologist works under the supervision of a Senior Clinical Psychologist.
Job Responsibilities
- To conduct appropriate psychometric assessments and result interpretation for referred patients.
- To develop and implement appropriate psychotherapy treatment for inpatients and outpatients.
- To contribute, as part of a multidisciplinary team, in the overall care plan for the patient.
- For the Senior Psychologist, to initiate and implement new psychological services with guidance from the Head of Division.
- To assist in the development of materials for teaching and training.
- Provide in-service training for department staff as needed.
- Assist senior team members in the provision of specialized teaching and supervision of interns.
- To contribute to team level operational tasks.
- To participate in research projects as a member of the research team, as appropriate.
Requirements
- Master of Psychology, with specialization in Clinical Psychology, from an accredited university.
- Registered or eligible for registration with a recognized psychological professional body.
- Fresh Master level graduates with relevant work/internship experience prior to/during Masters training (for Entry position)
- Applicants with clinical training in conducting assessments and/or providing psychotherapy to children and adolescent up to the age of 19.
- A team player who is motivated to provide a high standard of patient care and also able to work independently.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak a second language is preferred.
