- Ensure efficient management of evaluation of allocated portfolio of schools to ensure consistency and efficiency among schools, reduce risk, provide excellent customer service and inform IBWS strategy.
- Guide and support schools in the process of programme evaluation and the self-study process.
- Monitor schools queries, development plans and implementation difficulties which relate to programme implementation and provide feedback reports to IBWS leadership and Schools Office.
- Work with IB Answers department to collect information from schools, organize such information and support IB Answers to handle tier two queries and requests efficiently and effectively.
- Develop an informed understanding of the profile of the assigned school portfolio
- Ensure that data relevant to each school in the portfolio is captured in the data repository and that the trends are analysed to inform yearly plans
- Act as the central point of contact for schools, maintain relations with schools and monitor their development and performance.
- Collaborate with schools to continuously support them in seeking to improve programme implementation.
- Accountable for cultivating relationship with most senior 3rd party representatives, e.g. president of board of education, superintendents of schools or education ministers.
- Accountable for relationships at a sub-regional or state/provincial/large district level e.g. Australia, New Zealand, UAE, China, Korea, etc.
- Build, maintain and expand a network of (new) external relations (educational, governmental, etc.); detect and realize new business opportunities in close cooperation with other IB departments
- Participate and lead IBWS initiatives and projects as needed
- Master's degree, preferably in Education related discipline.
- Experience in school leadership.
- Previous IB programme experience as educator, coordinator, administrator desirable
- Familiarity with education systems and practices in public, private and international school systems.
- Experience in education management, school improvement and educational change.
- Experience in IB Educator Network roles such as IB school visit team member/leader, consultant and workshop leader and/or educational administrator desirable.
- Experience in educational management and innovational change
- Proficiency to gather, analyze, present data and develop insights to deepen understanding of school needs.
- Presentation and communication skills are highly developed and can be used to represent the IB externally with senior external stakeholders
- Understands financial, marketing and communication implementations beyond the core duties of their role (i.e. cross-departmental awareness)
- Maturity of conversation to interact with co-workers at senior level
- Able to perform strategic thinking
- Ability to bridge strategic thinking with global business context
- Deep understanding of national and international education trends and issues
- Willingness to work flexibly and to travel as required.
