Job Summary:

As a Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the overall technical management of assigned bunker barges, ensuring they are maintained in a seaworthy condition, compliant with international regulations, and operating efficiently. You will work closely with vessel crews, shipyards, and regulatory bodies to oversee maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Fleet Technical Management – Oversee the maintenance, repairs, and technical performance of assigned bunker barges.

· Planned Maintenance & Repairs – Ensure timely execution of scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.

· Dry-Docking & Major Repairs – Plan, budget, and supervise dry-docking and shipyard repairs.

· Regulatory Compliance – Ensure compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM Code, MPA, and classification society regulations.

· Bunker Operations Support – Work closely with operations teams to ensure vessels are in optimal condition for bunkering operations.

· Budget & Cost Control – Monitor maintenance expenses and optimize operational costs.

· Crew Training & Support – Provide technical guidance to vessel crew, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge to handle machinery safely.

· Emergency Response – Be available to respond to technical emergencies, breakdowns, or urgent repairs.

What We’re Looking For:

· Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.

· At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent managing tankers/bunker barges.

· Strong knowledge of bunker operations, barge machinery, and auxiliary systems.

· Experience in dry-docking, shipyard repairs, and regulatory compliance.

· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure.

· Strong communication and leadership skills to manage vessel crew and liaise with stakeholders.

· Willing to travel for vessel inspections, audits, and shipyard visits.
