Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Fund Operations/Accountant to support the daily operations and accounting processes of investment funds.

This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in fund administration, accounting, and financial reporting within an asset management or investment environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Operations:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of investment funds, including trade settlements, cash reconciliations, and investor transactions.
  • Support fund NAV reviews and ensure accuracy in financial data.
  • Coordinate with external fund administrators, custodians, and auditors for fund-related activities.
  • Monitor fund cash flow, expenses, and subscriptions/redemptions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Accounting & Reporting:

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts for funds.
  • Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations of cash, positions, and transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of investor reports, performance statements, and financial statements.
  • Support the year-end audit process by providing required financial data to auditors.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to fund accounting policies.
  • Assist in monitoring investment limits and risk exposure.
  • Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Key Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

· 1-2 years of experience in fund operations, fund accounting, or a related financial role (internship experience is acceptable).

· Basic knowledge of investment fund structures, financial instruments, and accounting principles.

· Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.

· Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g., Paxus, Geneva) is a plus.

· Good communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital assets, blockchain, or cryptocurrency funds is a plus.
  • Progress towards CPA, CFA, or other relevant financial certifications.
