Role Summary

This is an Investment Associate role reporting to the Head of Alternatives. The individual will be part of the Alternatives team under the Investment group, mainly focusing on Fund investments. This position will be based in Singapore.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial modelling for transactions and portfolios (including pricing secondary portfolios of limited partnership positions).
  • Support senior members in discussions and meetings with third party managers.
  • Support efforts in sourcing and screening private market Funds and co-investment opportunities for global mandate/s.
  • Participate in due diligence on shortlisted Fund investment opportunities across each of private equity, venture capital and private credit sub-asset classes, as well as co-investments. To provide ad-hoc support to Directs team on case-by-case basis.
  • Support preparation of detailed investment memorandums, formal presentation of recommendation and follow-up upon deal closure.
  • Monitor performance of portfolios and preparation of quarterly reports.
  • Support secondary market processes, both as buyer and seller.
  • Conduct in-depth research into macro, market and industry trends.
  • Conduct presentation to clients, prospects and internal management as required.

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or a relevant discipline
  • Preferably a CFA charter holder

Experience and Skills

  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in other Limited Partner/ Fund-of-Fund roles, in areas of financial modelling, screening, Fund selection, due diligence and portfolio management.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and relevant software tools to assist in data and statistical analysis. Good aptitude in quantitative analysis and statistics.
  • Good written and verbal communication. Able to engage different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic, organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Good team player who embraces a collaborative and open working culture that matches Fullerton’s core values.
  • Willing to speak up and challenge status quo.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, intellectually curious with passion for investing.
