Position Overview:

You will be working with the Senior Legal Counsel and be exposed to diverse legal work relating to capital markets and payments industries requiring a balance between commercial and legal considerations. This will equip you with skills critical to navigating the world of business and legal.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Legal Counsel and other internal stakeholders on a variety of legal matters.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating client application forms and terms and conditions, partner terms and conditions (such as introducers or referrals)
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including NDAs, MOUs and vendor contracts
  • Conduct legal research and provide insights on regulatory framework
  • Assistance with the maintenance of legal documents

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in a LLM or equivalent Masters program or bar course
  • Interest in, and knowledge of, securities laws or payments laws is a plus
  • Prior experience of practicing law as regulatory lawyer or in house experience in a common law jurisdiction is a plus
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with proficiency in an additional language (e.g. Japanese or French) being a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft forms
