Job Overview: Join Green Project as a Business Development Representative and be a part of a fast-growing climate tech company that's making a positive impact on the environment. As a crucial member of our team, you will represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal BDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize our internal CRM system, cold call, and email to generate new sales opportunities
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities
  • Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
  • Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps
  • Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook
  • Report to manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in SaaS sales, with a track record of exceeding lead targets
  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Proficiency with CRM and prospecting software, preferably HubSpot and Apollo
  • Highly motivated and organized individual who exhibits strong integrity, work ethics and ability to perform under pressure
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Carbon or climate industry knowledge preferred
