Objective:

The Buyer’s responsibility is to purchase the goods that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations. You will review prices and quality, ensure optimal stock levels, evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and prepare reports (e.g. on orders and costs.) For this role, you must also have a good knowledge of market research, with solid analytical skills to ensure you’re identifying the most profitable offers. Ultimately, you’ll create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.

Main Responsibilities:

· Controlling budget deficits

· Research potential vendors

· Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers

· Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing

· Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases

· Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses

· Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

· Track orders and ensure timely delivery

· Coordinating logistics for the collection of goods.

· Review the quality of purchased products

· Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers.

· Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices

· Maintain supply chain records

· Manage supplier relationships.

· Compile reports such as cost saving, vendor qualification and other reports as required.

· Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

· Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed

· Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends

· Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs.

· Ensure that all goods and services are acquired at the best possible price and quality

· Identify and drive process improvement opportunities.

· Build working relationships with stakeholders, understand their challenges & find solutions to their needs.

· Monitoring and ensuring achieving the target levels for related team KPIs / SLAs

· Conduct an audit or site visit to the supplier plant

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Purchasing, Business Administration, or Engineering field

· Minimum of 2 years experience in Purchasing role, including data entry.

· Familiarity with purchasing process and best practise.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong understanding of Purchasing principles, processes, and best practice

· Ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Good time management skills and highly organized.

· Problem-solving abilities

· Analytical and have the ability to solve purchasing and inventory-related problems.

· Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.

· Proactive, highly motivated and flexible

· Ability to follow instructions accurately and independently.
