Treasury/Working Capital Management, Assistant Manager/Manager
Position Brief:
This position is responsible to manage working capital for the entire business at the Business Corporate level. He or she shall work directly with relevant local financial controllers, with support from shared service back office, to drive optimal cash & working capital, including external financing, and to meet operational and project needs. He or she shall focus on the following:
- Ensure adequate liquidity to meet normal business operational needs, projects & corporate requirement
- Manages working capital levels & bank facilities at Group level
- Oversight and drives lower working capital levels at Group level – receivables, payables, inventory
- Improve business units' profitability by lowering costs of funds, and ensuring no idle cash
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Ensure consolidation & review operational needs of business units, projects & corporate requirements
- Ensure consolidation & review of AR collection & discounting forecast
- Optimize bank facility usage and propose cost-effective funding to meet cash flow gaps
- Alert management to probable significant cash events, and plan ahead with necessary approvals
- Ensure adequate financing lines available, at competitive rates, for drawdown when needed
- Manage Group bank accounts & forex arrangements to support business needs
- Periodically review Group's cash management costs, trade financing costs, etc
- Drives projects to improve working capital levels, costs and shorten cash cycle
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Education background in Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics/Statistics
- Good leadership, with global coordination experience
- Systematic & meticulous, with good follow-up
- Good Excel and modelling skills would be an advantage
