Your new role

They seek an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, upkeep, and safety of their manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in managing facilities, particularly in a manufacturing environment.

  • Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the manufacturing plant, including buildings, equipment, and utilities.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Management Reporting: Manage capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) related to facilities management.
  • Team Management: Supervise and guide a team of facilities staff, including Building Management and Facilities Services personnel.
  • Energy Management: Develop and implement energy-efficient practices to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Production Engineering, and external vendors to ensure seamless facilities management.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate, should have;

  • Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • WSH Certifications: Possess WSH certifications, such as WSH Officer or Certified WSH Officer.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of building systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and safety regulations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to create and present reports.
