Job Responsibilities:
- Involve in planning of project execution, scheduling of project deliverable, plant testing, commissioning and development of Plant Functional Description.
- Ensure timely submission of process deliverables, including PFD, P&ID, hydraulic profile, equipment sizing, HAZOP study report, etc.
- Manage detailed design of PID and process equipment in the plant
- Involve in HAZOP study for the overall plant and its system/ sub-system.
- Support on the procurement and progress claim work during project execution stage.
- Maintain and manage good relationship with client, consultant, and vendors for the successful project delivery.
- Involve in tender bids and proposals, including RFQ write-up, technical and budgetary evaluation, vendor management, and technical write-up.
- Coordinate with inter-disciplines engineering team (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Automation, C&S and Drafting) on development of engineering deliverable on a timely basis in accordance with Specifications
- Able to evaluate requirements of Specifications and LOAs to ascertain appropriate apportionment of scoping.
- Able to draft Contractual Letters where necessary.
- Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications.
- Analyze and review current processes and streamline the process for improvement, enhancement and productivity calculation, sequence of operation, unit improvement and process troubleshooting to the plant.
- Provide process engineering support for process designs and modifications, process safety, unit improvement and process troubleshooting to the plant.
- Review the plant performance and identify plant-wide improvement and cost reduction programs.
- Conduct process capability study, identify the bottleneck and develop action plant to resolve the issue.
- Lead the engineering team to deliver innovative engineering designs on all projects. Manage and mentor the engineering team to ensure maximum productivity and performance.
- Manage and monitor design processes and ensure that the drawings and designs are completed on time and adhered to the specifications and standards leading to delivery of plant and equipment.
- Undertake multi-discipline design and coordination activities, provide solutions on alternative design and improvements.
- Engage and manage various stakeholders including clients, consultants, operations team, Vendors and Sub contractors on technical and operational issues.
- Lead and Chair Technical Meetings with Client, Vendors, Sub Contractors and Internal Project Team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering with an institution recognized by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in chemical theories of water and wastewater process technology, heat and mass balance, Process Control for Ultrapure/ wastewater treatment.
- Prior experience of at least 8 years in process design.
- Experience in UltraPure Water (UPW) and Demineralization System will be added advantage strong technical knowledge waste water design and Membrane (MF/UF/RO/EDI) technology, Ion Exchange, and pre-treatment processes (coagulation/ flocculation, sedimentation, clarification, filtration.
- Good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong Leadership and management qualities with ability to control various aspects of project at the same time.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners
- Self-motivated, initiative driven, self-starter, meticulous and disciplined
- Proficient in Microsoft Application.
