GENERAL MANAGER (CONSTRUCTION)

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee high-pressure construction projects, ensuring top-tier quality, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.

2. Manage and mitigate environmental and safety hazards, including sun exposure and rooftop works.

3. Maintain a hands-on approach, demonstrating leadership by actively engaging in project execution when necessary.

4. Provide operational flexibility, working across day and night shifts as required.

5. Ensure availability on weekends or public holidays when necessary to meet project demands.

6. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and vendors to resolve project challenges.

7. Prepare and present detailed reports, offering strategic solutions to critical operational issues.

8. Exhibit strong adaptability by working extended hours and traveling frequently between project sites.

9. Perform any additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

2. Strong knowledge of modern construction equipment, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

3. Ability to lead under pressure, make decisive judgments, and maintain composure in high-stress environments.

4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.

5. Expertise in construction, electrical, plumbing, and ACMV (Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) works with outstanding problem-solving abilities.

6. Physical stamina and resilience to oversee demanding on-site operations.

7. Willingness to travel extensively to project sites, using public or company-provided transport as necessary.

8. Adaptability to work in diverse environmental conditions and dynamic project landscapes.
