MENCK is currently looking to hire a full-time, permanent Accounts Payable Accountant based at their facility in Tuas South Avenue, Singapore. In this role, you'll manage accounts payable for MENCK PTE LTD and ACTEON Singapore Operations, ensuring smooth and timely payments. Your responsibilities will include preparing payment runs for final approval, collaborating with department managers, project teams, and vendors, and maintaining strong relationships with internal finance teams and intercompany stakeholders. You'll also uphold MENCK's culture and values, stay informed on local GST and tax regulations, and provide backup support for the MENCK Group accounting team during holidays.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Accounts payable - posting supplier invoices and weekly payment runs. Point of contact for all vendor related queries
- Monitoring and posting of bank accounts inc. monthly bank reconciliation
- Preparing and submitting intercompany balance confirmations incl. reconciliations which requires liaising with other opco finance departments
- Handling of travel expenses
- Support Finance Manager MENCK PTE with intercompany recharges (non-project related)
- Prepare weekly cash forecast for ASO
- Support preparation of monthly management reporting for ASO and MENCK PTE in line with Acteon deadlines for both actuals/forecast and budget.
- Assist in external audits
- Support for operational departments inc. cost reporting
