Responsibilities:

  • Manages change order/ variation claim from subcontractors and prepare change order/ variation order claims to client, and keeping track of all change orders
  • Work closely with Project teams/ various disciplines (Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontractors, etc.) to support timely contract price adjustment/ claims
  • Prepares documentation and substantiation for variation orders/ claim as per the Contract requirements and timely submission to Client and follow-up till the Client’s approval.
  • Manages full spectrum of respective subcontracting works, claim and measurement/ bill of quantities.  Prepare tender/ subcontract document, bid/ subcontract checklist and prepare bid/subcontract evaluation and summary
  • Ensure main contract terms, project specification and requirements are incorporated in the bid documents and subcontract document
  • Monitors, review and check subcontractors’ milestone/progress claims and invoice on timely manner, and coordination with internal cost control/ finance department for payment processing.
  • Administers the subcontracts with subcontractors and issue work order 
  • Organizes kick off meeting and other ad-hoc meetings with subcontractors
  • Handle and maintain performance securities with subcontractors
  • Manage day to day contractual correspondences with subcontracts including contractual letters preparation and tracking of incoming/outgoing letters  Procure all subcontracting work within budget and in accordance to comply financial guideline.
  • Monitors subcontracting cost and ensure within allocated budget  Subcontract close out / settlement of contractual disputes related to subcontracts, final accounting, completion certificate, etc.
  • Participates in monthly cost review, if required. Manage warranty/ defect claims if any.
  • Participates in Project meetings, interface with cost control, procurement and others.

Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in any Engineering disciplines or Quantity Surveying
  • 5 to 10 years of experiences
  • Familiar with offshore platforms, modules, FPSOs, jackets, etc. and onshore petrochemical plants, renewable energy era will be an added advantage
  • Good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willing to commit overtime as and when required
