We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance our network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), proxies, and web application firewalls (WAF). This role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting security incidents, configuring network devices, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure the security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute operational tasks for network security solutions, including firewalls, IPS, proxies, and WAF.
  • Monitor network security solutions, ensuring performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Utilize various tools to troubleshoot and diagnose network issues.
  • Analyze and provide insights on WAF violations.
  • Provide post-office-hours support for troubleshooting and incident resolution.
  • Perform data tabulation and generate security reports.
  • Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, QoS).
  • Conduct network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches and security configurations.
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trends, and capacity planning.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related issues.
  • Adhere to established configuration and change management policies.
  • Implement security tools, policies, and procedures in coordination with the security team.
  • Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel for issue resolution.
  • Handle network configuration requests and ensure proper implementation.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for security incidents.
  • Stay updated on new security vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures, including firmware updates and patch coordination.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching.
  • Basic understanding of application security, including HTTP response status codes and WAF violations. Advanced knowledge for remediation is a plus.
  • Experience with network security equipment from vendors like Palo Alto, Check Point, Trend Micro, Fortinet, and F5.
  • Familiarity with Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and tools.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or vendor-specific certifications (related to Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.) are a plus.
