Are you passionate about crunching numbers and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Do you want to shape the future of energy trading in Japan? Then we’ve got the perfect opportunity for you!

“You will gain valuable experience from a leading energy trading company with a strong innovative and tech-driven mindset.” Michael Lunt, Head of APAC

Here’s what the job entails

At Danske Commodities, part of the Equinor Group, we’re looking for a Trading Analyst to join our cutting-edge Japan power trading desk in Singapore. If you're driven by data, love developing new trading tools, and have a knack for forecasting market trends, come be part of our team and help us take our trading strategies to the next level.

Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:

- develop and optimize trading strategies with the Japan power trading team

- build and maintain forecasting models to identify new trading opportunities

- create innovative trading tools to support decision-making

- lead the charge in developing our analytical platform for Japan power trading

Meet your team

Join a dynamic and skilled group of professionals dedicated to trading in the APAC power markets. As part of our Japan power trading team, you'll play a key role in trading power derivatives. We're focused on building and expanding the APAC power trading desk as part of our global growth strategy.

But enough about us… over to you!

In this Trading Analyst role, we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about data-driven decision-making and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You take a holistic and analytical approach, always keeping market risk in mind while also considering other key factors in your analysis. If you have a positive, can-do attitude—whether the task is big or small—you're exactly who we need!

We also imagine that you:

- have experience in power markets, with at least 2 years of direct Japan power experience in a proprietary trading environment, bank, fund or trading house.

- have a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.

- are skilled in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages.

- have a curious mind eager to understand energy market dynamics.

- are eligible to work in Singapore.

- are fluent in English and Japanese

We’ll take good care of you

At Danske Commodities, we take great care of our people. Joining us means you’ll get a lot of great perks – including social events, cultural experiences, development opportunities and benefits to better your health, your life and your future. Here are some of the benefits we offer our employees:

- An office in the heart of Singapore, plus a fully paid mobile phone

- And much more…
