What the role is:You oversee the Safety Management System and safety culture development at the Command level within the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS).What you will be working on:- Conduct scheduled inspections and visits to workplaces and deployment grounds - Work with line units and Unit Safety Officers (USOs) to promote open reporting and investigate safety incidents - Supervise development of safety officers - Function as Command's primary interface with the DIS Safety Inspectorate Challenge(s) - Maintaining familiarity with safety matters in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), industry, and governmental bodies - Navigating the SAF and DIS organisational networks to establish new working relationships and enhance existing processesWhat we are looking for:- At least 6 years of working experience, with minimum 3 years in safety or equivalent aspects - Qualifications in Workplace Safety or equivalent field is preferred - ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor qualification with an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or its equivalent is preferred - Excellent communication and leadership skills Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.About MINDEF:The mission of MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces is to enhance Singapore's peace and security through deterrence and diplomacy, and should these fail, to secure a swift and decisive victory over the aggressor.
