What the role is:You will play an integral role in advancing Public Sector Transformation (PST) in MSF and help transform us into an organisation that is Innovative, Digital, Empathetic Agile and Lean (I.D.E.A.L). You will be exposed to a wide range of projects in innovation, culture building, employee engagement, employee competency development and staff work while playing an important role in the creation of an innovative culture and ecosystem within the Ministry. If you are interested in challenging yourself, experimenting with new approaches and tools, developing solutions from a systemic perspective, dealing with ambiguity in an adaptive and agile manner, then this role is for you. You will join a team of passionate officers and be exposed to: • A OneMSF view in identifying the problems/opportunities and developing solutions; • In-depth understanding of the breadth of MSF's work and future opportunities as you advance in your career; • Extensive networks both internally and externally in fields like innovation, digitalisation, organisation development and employee engagement; • Innovative tools, approaches and methodologies to effect transformation in large organisations.What you will be working on:
  • Assist with the planning and execution of projects under the Innovation Branch's ambit • Design and implement strategies to promote an innovative culture among MSF staff • Establish processes and measures of success to align with Whole-of-Government efforts in PST • Collaborate with partners to build new capabilities (e.g. Design Thinking, Behavioural Insights) and develop a future-ready MSF • Design and develop platforms to engage MSF colleagues on propagation of I.D.E.A.L principles • Facilitate, curate and manage the transformation agenda (e.g. via senior management / group transformation-related meetings) • Proactively create effective partnerships internally and externally to collaborate with, to influence transformation efforts in the MSF family
What we are looking for:
  • At least 6-8 years of transformation / organisation development / planning / change management / design-thinking work experience • Experience leading teams • Having facilitation skills / experience will be advantageous • Effective team leader with the ability to build consensus with multiple stakeholders who may hold differing views • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to “think-on-the-feet” • Innovative individual who will not only think out of the box to find solutions for existing and anticipated problems, but also support and encourage others in doing the same • Believes in continual learning in diverse skillsets for both yourself and your team • Believes in the need to drive innovation within the organisation and have the perseverance to push through implementation plans to fruition • Strong creativity, analytical, written, communication and inter-personal skills
