What the role is:As the Executive Manager for the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Division, you will be part of the team to galvanise NEA in building a strong WSH culture, and to achieve and sustain an effective WSH management system. You will also work in partnership with the line departments, WSH committees and WSH offices.What you will be working on:Key responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage and coordinate organisation-wide events and WSH forums to engage staff and increase WSH awareness.
  • Oversee curation and roll-out of WSH communications, including managing the platforms for WSH messaging (e.g. Posters, WSH Alerts, videos, advisories).
  • Devise and implement recognition systems to recognise teams and staff for WSH excellence or performance.
  • Measure and determine the safety culture of the organisation, including survey planning, execution, analysis and management reporting.
  • Develop and nurture WSH communities in NEA.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive WSH training roadmap to determine mandatory WSH courses for NEA officers and stakeholders
  • Consolidate WSH training needs and develop WSH training interventions and roll-out plan in collaboration with NEA's training institute
  • Champion NEA's behaviour-based safety programme and oversee implementation of programme, including refining safety observation checklist, developing safety observation system and database, and analytics dashboard to effectively capture, track and derive insights to improve WSH performance
What we are looking for:The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
  • Good knowledge of the Singapore WSH Act, Environmental Protection and Fire Safety legislations, Codes of Practice and Singapore Standards.
  • Has at least 5 years of work experience, preferably in the areas of WSH functions.
  • Excellent writing, communications and presentation skills.
  • Mature, independent and resourceful.
  • Enjoys learning, problem solving and collaborating with others.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
  • Prior experience in culture-building roles will have an added advantage.
  • Registered WSH Officer or Specialist Diploma in WSH (or equivalent) will have an added advantage.
  • ACLP/ACTA certification (or equivalent) will have an added advantage.
  • Experience as an Occupational Hygiene Officer will have an added advantage.
  • Trained practitioner of ISO9001/45001 will also have added advantage.
