About the job:

The System Engineer is responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance, availability, and security. The role involves hands-on management of on-premise and cloud-based systems, deployment tasks, and troubleshooting to maintain seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Administration:
    • Configure, harden, and manage Kubernetes (.NET Microservices) environments, both on-premise and cloud.
    • Manage deployments and system testing for bug fixes, standard requests, and change requests.
    • Perform cloud migration tasks ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance:
    • Monitor server uptime, system performance, and security compliance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve network and hardware issues promptly.
    • Maintain backups (system, application, and disaster recovery) and ensure data recovery plans are in place.
  • Security & Optimization:
    • Implement security best practices to harden systems and mitigate vulnerabilities.
    • Optimize system resources for peak performance and cost-efficiency.
    • Plan and recommend system upgrades for scalability and enhanced performance.
  • Documentation & SOPs:
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and network diagrams.
    • Maintain asset inventory and software licensing records.

Requirement and Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in system engineering.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes (K8S) and .NET Microservices.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux server environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud migration processes.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
  • Backup management and disaster recovery planning experience.
