Position Overview
The Food and Beverage Guest Relations/Host manages reservations, communicates with guests and the chef, and assists with menu planning. This customer-oriented, tech-savvy role focuses on personalized service and maintaining a strong guest database.
Food and Beverage Operations
• Manage reservations through phone, email, and in-person, ensuring restaurants are confirmed
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and reservations via email and phone
• Communicate guest information to the team (special requests, occasions) to personalize the experience
• Request guest feedback and communicate it to the manager
• Ensure each guest is warmly welcomed and escorted to their designated seats
• Provide a fond farewell to guests as they leave
• Build and maintain a strong guest profile database
• Support food & beverage service when required
• Work closely with the chef for menu planning based on guest requests
Additional Responsibilities
• Prepare reports related to reservations, guest feedback, and dining preferences
• Utilize computer and tech tools for efficient planning and communication with the chef
• Coordinate with the chef to ensure smooth operations and meet guest expectations
Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience in upscale restaurants or hotels
• Strong communication skills and excellent service
• Tech-savvy and able to handle reports and guest preferences tracking
• Customer-oriented, friendly, approachable, and professional
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to collaborate with the chef and other team members
