The Life Pricing intern will be supporting the FWD Life Pricing team with new product launches, product revamp, product pricing and product implementation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in creation and modification of pricing models, testing assumption changes, performing competitive analysis etc.
  • Build policy illustration templates and calculation specifications which will be used as reference for IT team, for building new products in FWD’s quotation system.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Test (UAT) and Regression Test (RT) for new product launches to ensure product initiatives are implemented in system as expected. This involves extensive use of excel and the writing of VBA macro to expedite process checking.
  • Assist in market research and competitive analysis.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and other duties as required.
Qualification:
  • Students pursuing an Actuarial Science degree
Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer programming; Knowledge in VBA is an added advantage.
  • Actuarial knowledge with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
