  • Take appropriate steps in managing all aspects of a Fund/REIT portfolio, which include but not limited to ensuring all activities are in compliance with regulations, laws and constitutional documents and escalating as appropriate
  • Deliver professional trustee services to clients while balancing the need to fulfil Trustee’s fiduciary obligations. Cultivate and develop strong relationship with senior members of the clients
  • The role involve meeting clients to discuss issues and enquire into the operation of the REITs and Funds including investment compliance monitoring
  • The candidate will be required to accept responsibility for the management of a number of clients and contribute to the efficient operation of the trustee and fiduciary department
  • Act as a contact point for discussion on client issues and serve as a representative for the Funds/REITs product and HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited in its role as trustee
  • Ensuring work flow is effectively managed and conducted within set deadlines, while following agreed procedures
  • Ability to assess and thus assure prompt escalation of issues of compliance or risk
  • Work with team members or lead in product risk management projects from time to time through review of documentation or review of internal processes due to regulatory changes or implementation new measures with clients/team due to compliance, audit or internal requirements
  • Review and negotiate trust documentation with a view to safeguard HSBC interests, legal liability while ensuring operational processes and procedures are captured accurately
  • Review and negotiate REIT transactional documents with a view to ensure compliance with regulations and to fulfil our trustee’s obligations
  • Arrange and keep up-to-date all client documents and any other Fund/REIT information in accordance with the internal procedure
  • Keep up to date on developments in the industry and seek to gain a good understanding on all aspects of REITs’ business
  • Assist in REITs operations including but not limited to payments and any other adhoc operational matters
  • Review REIT trans Liaising with clients, audit and risk and other stakeholders to ensure queries and issues pertaining to the team’s responsibilities are resolved effectively
  • Facilitating open communication with trustee team members and colleagues, both locally and globally, to identify any potential issues/improvements
  • Ability to assess risk, demonstrate ownership and management of issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Understanding of HSBC’s GB procedures
  • Candidate will have extensive working experience in the securities industry, to include:
  • Knowledge of clients and products across range of securities services
  • Management position with exposure to business partners across multiple geographical locations
  • Management position with exposure to remuneration, performance management, team building and staff development
  • Fund Administration/Custody, with experience in Pricing
  • Reconciliations and GAV/NAV preferred
