Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, contributing to the smooth operation of our accounting department. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable).
- Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing and trading environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., SFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in a manufacturing and trading industry is highly advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- CPA or ACCA qualification.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of Singapore tax regulations.
