Business Studies Teacher # Secondary

Responsibilities

• Supervise students’ progress of learning during Enrichment Activities
• Monitor students’ attendance and following up with their reasons for absence
• Mark daily assignments and prepare feedback to be given to students.
• Set examination papers
• Mark examination scripts
• Perform relief duties when contingencies arise
• Attend professional development workshops / retreats / meetings discussions that will increase their teaching competencies
• Engage with Officers in-charge of their students for better socio-emotional and behavioural management of students
• Engage with next-of-kins during Parents-Teachers-Officers-Meetings

Requirements

• Possesses a degree in Business studies or a related field.
• Possesses at least 3 years of relevant teaching experience at Secondary and / or Post-Secondary levels.
• Possesses good track record for students’ results in key national examinations at GCE levels or equivalent.
• Has teaching experience in correctional facilities or working with at-risk students
• Competent in differentiated teaching for students who are diverse in age and abilities
• Able to manage learning activities for a class size of between 20 and 30 students
