Job Purpose
- The role has a focus on developing a robust FP&A function within the Asia Regional Finance Team which is primarily based Singapore but also has associates in Hong Kong.
- Leading the FP&A function and managing the annual budget process.
- Creating a process for efficient and accurate forecasting.
- Establishing and developing relationships with senior management, and stakeholders.
- Helping to develop the skills and experience of our associates.
- This role is key in creating an efficient support function for the business.
Key Tasks & Duties and Measurements
Management, Leadership and Reporting
- Leading country teams through budget process, including consolidation for Asia.
- Develop the reporting of management accounts within countries and at a regional level.
- Hold month-end reviews with country finance heads.
- Proactive in suggesting improvements in current management information and working with business, IT, other teams, and finance to deliver high quality solutions to meet business needs.
- Production of strategic KPIs which align interests of business towards the group’s strategic vision.
Budgeting and forecasting
- Assist in the production of 5-year plan on an annual basis.
- Take on management of ongoing implementation of budgeting and forecasting software.
- Developing a robust forecast for revenue on a monthly basis and high-level P&L forecast each quarter.
Systems, projects and Ad hoc work - as required
- Actively contributing to strengthening of the Finance team and identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and analysis.
- Implementation of a new financial reporting system in local offices, working closely with the international finance team.
- Responding to ad hoc queries from Board level.
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience of leading FP&A or finance teams
- Experience of presentations and reporting at a senior level
- Insurance background experience beneficial
- Proven ability to drive changes and implement new policies / processes
- Demonstrate ability to work well as a team, and managing remotely
- Experience of working in a high paced deadline driven environment
- Exposure to finance change projects
- Experience of system implementation beneficial
- Experience of Oracle EPBCS advantageous

- An internationally recognised accounting qualification
