As a renowned research institute, ATMRI focuses on finding innovative solutions to advance air traffic management (ATM) and catalyze the transformation of ATM systems in the region. The institute is at the forefront of research, integrating advanced AI, data analytics, and human-centered approaches to enable next-generation ATM systems.

We are seeking a motivated and independent Senior Research Engineer I to join our team and drive innovative research in air traffic management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development of the air traffic management tools to maintain situational awareness, decision-making efficiency, and smooth coordination when operating under the multi-sector planner operational concept.
  • Implementation of back-end algorithms into a user interface suitable for validation exercise at technology readiness level 4.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration among experts from diverse backgrounds to integrate knowledge.
  • Conducting original research, publishing in leading journals and conferences, mentoring junior researchers, and facilitating collaborations with industry and academic partners.


Job Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in aerospace engineering, operations research, or a related field;
  • Research experience/Domain knowledge in ATM is highly advantageous.
  • Strong research contributions, evidenced by publications in SCI Q1 journals and peer-reviewed conferences.
  • Proficiency in programming (Python, C++, MATLAB).
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills - for research purposes
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks effectively, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
