A*STAR IDL aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.

Job Description:

  • Leads conceptual and technical integration of various research studies to provide leading edge solutions in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) research and development
  • Conceptualize and create new technologies, patents and publications
  • Review and manage operating budget of grants and team
  • Establish collaborations, develop scientific proposals and ensure timely achievement of project milestones
  • Manage a team and provide scientific and career mentorship to researchers and students

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Infectious Diseases, Immunology or related field as above
  • 4 years of post-PhD relevant experience
  • Strong background in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Genomics
  • Strong publication record
  • Highly motivated and ability to develop strong research ideas to secure grant and funding
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
