UWCSEA is looking for a Communications and Marketing Designer to start from April/May 2025.The Communications and Marketing Designer is a key support member of the Communications and Marketing Team within the Department of Engagement and External Relations. Reporting to the Design Manager, this role assists in developing and producing digital and print design materials that align with UWC brand guidelines to support external marketing and internal communications.This position focuses on providing high-quality design work and excellent customer service to internal clients. Responsibilities include assisting the Design Manager with digital and print materials, creating impactful social media designs, and supporting digital storytelling and campus dressing to enhance the College’s brand presence. Additionally, the designer assists with archiving design assets and liaising with printers to obtain print quotes.This position is Dual campus and the incumbent will be based in East campus (Tampines).Main Responsibilities1. Digital and Print Collateral
  • Design a range of materials for internal and external audiences, including brochures, infographics, digital media, and marketing assets.
  • Ensure all collateral meets high-quality standards and supports the College’s strategic objectives.
2. Social Media Design
  • Design compelling visuals for social media channels to enhance engagement and storytelling.
  • Collaborate with content and social media teams to develop creative assets that showcase the College’s initiatives, students, and community.
3. Campus Dressing and Branding Support
  • Assist in the design and implementation of campus dressing materials to maintain a cohesive brand presence on campus and enhance the storytelling element for Admissions school tours.
  • Support the creation of visual assets for events, signage, and other branding needs.
4. Presentation Support
  • Help clean up and format presentations and documents for the leadership team to ensure a polished and professional appearance.
5. Print Coordination
  • Liaise with printers to procure quotes and coordinate the production of print materials.
6. Design Asset Management
  • Maintain and archive design assets for easy access and future use.
7. Assist with any other duties, tasks or jobs with similar levels of responsibility and complexity to the assigned job grade as may be reasonably requested by the line manager and/or the CollegePerson SpecificationsQualification:
  • A diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a design-related role, preferably in marketing, communications, or a creative team (in-house or agency).
  • Experience designing for both digital and print media, including social media graphics, marketing collateral, and branding materials.
  • Prior experience working in an educational or nonprofit setting is a plus but not required.
Skills
  • Proficient level in in graphic design and photo editing - Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Reader).
  • Experience working on the Mac OS platform is essential.
  • Experience using Google Suite (Docs, Slides, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Comfortable using these tools for document creation and collaboration.
  • Experience working on Canva for designing engaging content and templates for the UWCSEA community is desirable.
  • Familiarity with website CMS and digital communication tools (e.g., Finalsite, Hubspot) is desirable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organised, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • A team player, willing to work collaboratively and support others to achieve shared goals.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to adjust to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, able to find innovative solutions to design challenges and improve workflow.
