Description of Division/Branch RPG provides statutory intervention and leads in child protection and adult protection policies and processes to safeguard Children and Young Persons (CYPs) as well as Vulnerable Adults (VAs) in Singapore. The science and art of our work remain very much firmly rooted in keeping vulnerable persons safe from harm, working in partnership with families and stakeholders such as the schools, hospitals and other community partners. CIC's Publicity and Partnerships Team, in partnership with the other divisions in RPG, plays a pivotal role in optimising RPG's manpower resources and enhancing client safety through the expansion of our volunteer base and strategic outsourcing of operational functions to vendors.What you will be working on:As a team lead of the Publicity and Partnerships Team, you are responsible for maintaining comprehensive oversight and engagement of volunteers including foster parents and executive volunteers, lead publicity and outreach efforts to raise public awareness of our volunteer schemes including the Fostering Scheme, oversee the organisation of volunteer appreciation and engagement initiatives/events and develop new volunteer initiatives to expand our volunteer base. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to align volunteer recruitment and engagement with business needs and objectives to support and augment sector operations effectively. Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director, you will: • Oversee the recruitment, assessment, engagement, deployment and appreciation of volunteers • Oversee the outreach and publicity efforts and partner engagements (e.g. Social Service Agencies, corporate and community partners) to recruit volunteers • Guide the team to analyse the needs of the operation teams and review the current volunteer schemes/initiatives to identify gaps and propose ways to enhance volunteer recruitment, engagement and deployment • Expand and optimise the volunteer base through innovative ways to engage existing volunteers and develop greenfield areas of volunteer deployment to better augment the manpower needs of the operation teams • Work with operational teams on service recovery efforts for critical incidents involving volunteers, which may include direct engagement with volunteers and families • Contribute to professional development and competency-building within the team through structured supervision and/or coaching of team members to facilitate knowledge transferWhat we are looking for:Requirements • Tertiary qualification • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience working in volunteer and partner engagement work. • At least 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience. Able to work calmly in highly stressful situations and manage members of public, volunteers and partners with sensitivity and tact. • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, engages well with members of public, partners and volunteers from different walks of life and appreciates cross-function collaborations with internal and external stakeholders. • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced setting, receptive to changes and innovation and able to leverage on technology to improve processes and service delivery.
