This includes producing relevant management information to be presented to Senior Management and relevant Boards.Duties and Responsibilities· To manage and support on all matters relating to product governance, including product design, development and distribution.· To support the embedding, implementation of an oversight framework for compliance management, conduct risk, product governance, fair value and pricing for Allied World products.· To support the design, embedding and implementation of a revised product governance process and structure that is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.· To assist in the production of, and challenge of, relevant management information and to present these to relevant Boards, Committees and Senior Management as required.· To assist in maintaining and updating all related conduct and compliance policies and support the testing, monitoring and challenge of relevant processes.· To perform reviews and assurance of controls to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and provide recommendations to ensure these are managing operational or compliance risks.· To assist with the completion and submission of regulatory returns as necessary.· To work alongside the Legal & Compliance, DUA, HR and CUO functions to establish, co-ordinate and provide a multi-faceted educational and compliance training program on product design, development and distribution, including applicable conduct and disclosure regulatory requirements.· To work alongside the Legal & Compliance function to monitor complaints, maintain / update the complaints register for internal and regulatory reporting and to follow up on agreed corrective / preventive action plans.· To work alongside the Legal & Compliance function to monitor and maintain reportable situations register for internal and regulatory reporting and to follow up on agreed corrective / preventive action plans.· To collaborate with all business functions as appropriate and to respond to risk and compliance queries comprehensively and in a timely manner.· To monitor consultation papers and policy statements issued by relevant regulatory authorities and wider bodies, and to work with the business to establish the potential impact.· To lead and/or support regulatory change projects relating to product, pricing and underwriting including analysis of requirements, coordinating impact assessments and supporting implementation of key deliverables.· To maintain a strong internal/external profile in order to provide a network and framework for identifying and responding appropriately to regulatory developments.· To maintain, if any, Financial Services Guide (FSG), Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), Target Market Determination (TMD) records for Australia and other equivalent records in Singapore, Hong Kong and Labuan as required.Knowledge, skills and abilities requirement· Experience in operational and/or conducting risk activities.· A broad understanding of relevant regulations relating to consumer products including Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and relevant APRA, ASIC and ACCC regulatory requirements.· Professional certificates / exams such as Actuarial or ACII (preferred but not required).· Strong analytical skills.· 5-8 years’ experience.· Confident and clear communicator - able to build relationships across all areas and levels.· High sense of responsibility and autonomy.· Willing to be involved in the end-to-end process.· Experienced in Microsoft Office and relevant software packages / insurance platforms.· Willingness to travel overseas as required.Working at Allied WorldOur team of over 1,400 professionals has deep expertise in the industry.
