Role Purpose

The Power Platform and Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will play a crucial role in driving our digital transformation initiatives. This position is responsible for developing and managing Power Platform solutions and ensuring the seamless integration and operation of our cloud-based systems on AWS and Azure.

Role Accountabilities

Strategic & Planning

  • Responsible for partnering with business representatives to understand business processes and underlying informational and/or process automation needs, then translating those needs into formal, documented business requirements following methodologies and processes.
  • Perform cross functional analysis of the company’s operations, business and functional requirements and recommend or provide application solutions or ideas to improve the systems or processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power Platform solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Plan and design cloud infrastructure architecture to support current and future business needs.

IT Operations Management

  • Responsible for developing and supporting applications using Microsoft Power Platform such as Power Apps and Power Automate according to business automation needs.
  • Develop and support the implementation of Data Analytics
  • Documenting the specifications, design, features, and operation of applications to a Functional /Technical specification which is used by the applications development team for translation into actual program code.
  • Testing and debugging application systems and perform quality control checks before releasing the system for UAT.
  • Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and Power Platform solutions to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing and Power Platform development.

  • Challenging and stopping unsafe acts and behaviours or unsafe conditions.

Key Qualifications & Skills

Qualifications

  • University Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field

Technical Skills

  • Experience with scripting/coding languages e.g. Python, PHP, R, React.js, Node.js (Python and React.js preferred)
  • Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms
  • Proven experience on Microsoft Power Platform mainly Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Power BI and data analytics proficiency

Professional Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail with keen appreciation of business needs and strong interest in business processes and process re-engineering.
  • Proficient in or can quickly grasp applicable business processes and functions
