What the role is:The Office of Chief Psychologist (OCP) provides thought and practice leadership in the strategic direction and planning for psychological services within the Ministry and the Social Service Sector. Specifically, it provides professional consultations, training, research and evaluation in the field of psychology and mental health. Reporting to the Chief Psychologist, your role is to support the Clinical and Research Team in the various thought and practice initiatives. You will be part of the team working on various practice and evaluation projects within the social service sector serving Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and their families.What you will be working on:
  • Provide clinical inputs and consultation in intervention and programmes to support PwDs and their caregivers. • Train social service professionals to deliver intervention and programmes for PwDs and their caregivers. • Evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of large-scale intervention and programmes for PwDs and their caregivers. • Supervise and oversee internal and external research and clinical teams for key projects.
What we are looking for:
  • At least a Master's degree in Clinical or Applied Psychology or related discipline • Preferably 10 years' experience in clinical, social service, or hospital settings with at least 5 years' experience in working with adult PwDs. • Preferably 5 years' experience in training and supervision. • Preferably with experience in programme development, implementation, and evaluation. • Good knowledge of the adult disability and developmental disability sectors. • Relevant research and/or evaluation experience (preferably in social service settings) • Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Excellent interpersonal skills
