What the role is:The Finance division optimises the use of financial resources in the National Heritage Board by providing timely financial insights, upholding governance, and partnering our divisions to deliver NHB's strategic outcomes. In this role, you should have a strong interest in partnering divisions to perform strategic budgeting and resource management. You should also be passionate about transforming Finance into an agile and future-ready function.[What you will be doing]Implement strategies to optimise funds management and utilisation to contribute to NHB's strategic prioritiesPrepare and review the annual and multi-year budget planning exercise through active partnership and engagement of key stakeholders and management, to ensure budget sustainability and alignment to the Board's strategic outcomesManage specific funding sources, from submission of funding proposals, to drawing down of funds, allocation, utilisation, reporting and audits as required by funding agenciesPrepare management reports to support strategic decision-making and forward planning and ensure optimal allocation and utilisation of the Board's financial resources, leveraging on technology solutions such as data analysis and visualisation toolsEngage and provide advice to relevant internal and external stakeholders on financial mattersDrive improvements in financial policies, processes and procedures[What we are looking for]Background in Accountancy or equivalentPreferably with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance strategic budgeting and resource managementProactive, meticulous, and possess strong analytical skillsGood interpersonal and communication skillsSystematic and adopt a thorough approach to work, with a strong sense of accountability and sense of urgency.Familiarity with WorkDay system, data analytics, and visualisation tools, is an advantagePrior Finance experience in the Public Sector is an advantageAll candidates will be notified within 4 weeks whether or not they are shortlisted for this role.About National Heritage Board:The National Heritage Board (NHB) champions the development of a vibrant cultural and heritage sector in Singapore.
