The Job:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Oversee the development and management of the annual regional budget, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives.
- Produce precise financial forecasts to guide strategic business decisions.
- Analyze financial data in detail, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, including key performance metrics.
- Track and analyze KPIs and financial data, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Ensure all financial reporting complies with local accounting standards and company policies.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure full compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting obligations.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and uphold the integrity of financial records.
- Identify and address potential financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them.
Strategic Financial Management:
- Act as a key financial partner to regional leadership, providing insights to support informed decision-making.
- Assess and analyze potential investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Implement cost management strategies and process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and profitability.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, offering guidance and growth opportunities to ensure continuous team development.
- Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
The Talent:
- Industry Experience: At least 6 years of experience in finance analysis roles, with experience in a leadership or managerial position within the freight forwarding sector.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in SAP, along with advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong business insight and analytical abilities.
- Proactive in problem-solving and simplifying processes.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
