Senior Resident Engineer C&S (Bedok)

Job Description

· To be overall in charge, manage and control a team of resident technical offices or RTO in their daily C&S inspection and need to manage the approval form for inspection and overtime works and claims.

· To ensure that the Contractor co-ordinates the work of various contractors.

· To agree to detailed programmes of work-time chart and representation on site plans.

· To check that all necessary drawings and instructions have been given to contractors and authorization obtained, in accordance with the agreed programme.

· To check that materials are ordered in good time and permits obtained.

· Check that all constructions works are carried out in a safe manner, and that the site is kept secure.

· To watch for faulty workmanship and materials incorporated in the works and to issue instructions for rectification.

· To check line and level and layout of structure during erection and that intentions of “contract” drawings are adhered to.

· To check structural slab, beam and column sizes and reinforcements placed and that intent of design details are followed.

Job Requirements

· Recognized degree in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore. . Registered PEs will be preferred.

· RE must have at least 15 years’ post-graduate experience in supervising building projects. Applicants with both design and supervision experience as Resident Engineer will be favourably considered.

· Fully conversant with Building contract Act and Regulations. Able to administer contracts professionally, maintain site records and contract documents systematically to meet reporting requirements under Building Control Act.

· Extensive experience in the supervision of deep basement construction, preferably with top-down construction, bored pile systems, secant bored pile wall, diaphragm wall, precast concrete and structural steel construction.

· Experience with projects located adjacent to existing MRT structures or sensitive structures such as underground water pipe, canals, etc will be advantageous.

· Able to start work by Feb/Mar 2025
