
Cloud Engineer
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting virtual instances hosted in the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environment (which includes GCC+). This role involves server management, cloud implementation, and storage management services, as well as coordinating service requests with approved Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)
2 years extendable Contract
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Operations & Support:
- Manage and support virtual instances within the GCC/GCC+ environment.
- Perform server management, storage management, and cloud implementation services.
- Submit service requests to approved CSPs (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) for virtual instance support.
Asset Management:
- Maintain an up-to-date asset inventory, including lease, warranty, and maintenance contract information for all virtual instances.
- Collaboration & Reporting:Work closely with internal teams and CSP support teams to ensure seamless cloud operations.
- Document processes, incidents, and resolutions related to cloud services.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Certifications (for all levels):
Must possess at least one of the following:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
For Cloud Engineer Level 1:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year managing public cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
- Additional (Preferred) Certifications:AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
For Cloud Engineer Level 2:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years managing public cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
- Additional (Preferred) Certifications:AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
